Leaver handovers
Leaver handovers, finished before the last day.
When someone leaves, Handover Pro finds the files only they knew about, asks them what matters while they are still there, and moves or removes their SharePoint access through a plan someone approves.
What goes wrong
The same problems, every time.
Files only they understood
Spreadsheets, contracts and trackers only they ever edited, with nobody else who knows what they are for.
Files still checked out
Documents locked to an account that is about to be closed, so nobody else can save changes.
Sites with no other owner
Sites and groups where the leaver is the only owner, left without anyone in charge.
Access that outlives the job
Permissions and group places that stay on the account, and sharing links nobody remembers.
The interview
Questions written for this kind of handover.
Alongside a question for every gap the map finds, Handover Pro asks questions like these. The person answers in their own words, and every answer can be cited in the document.
- Is there anything only you know how to do?
- Who should own "Supplier rates 2026.xlsx" after you leave?
- Who should be a site collection admin of "Atlas Delivery" after you leave?
- Which regular tasks, reports or meetings do you look after that someone needs to take on?
- Who will contact you about your work, and what should they be told?

Access ends, and it is checked.
When the handover is sealed, their access to its records ends, and Handover Pro checks with SharePoint that it really has. If they can still open the records some other way, for example as a site owner, sealing says so and waits until that access is removed.
Contractors and suppliers too
Use it when a contractor rolls off or a supplier leaves a contract: the same map, interview and sealed record give you the knowledge transfer and access removal that exit plans ask for.
